High Purity Magnesium Hydroxide

Application
Unsaturated polyester resins, as a kind of polymerized material, are widely used in aerospace, construction, paint and other industries. Since unsaturated polyester resin is a combustible material, it can release a lot of heat during the combustion process, and generate dense smoke and release toxic gases, which become a potential fire hazard.

The good flame-retardant effect is obvious
Magnesium hydroxide was added to unsaturated polyester resin as a flame retardant, and the combustion properties of unsaturated polyester resin samples with different contents of magnesium hydroxide were studied. The results show that the ignition time of the samples containing the organic flame retardant increased; the samples containing magnesium hydroxide and aluminum hydroxide had significantly better flame retardancy than the samples without flame retardant HRRpeak, THR1200S, SEA, MLR.

High efficiency, non-toxic, no secondary pollution
Under the same quality content, magnesium hydroxide can improve the flame retardancy of unsaturated polyester resin better than aluminum hydroxide. As a new type of environmentally friendly flame retardant, magnesium hydroxide inorganic flame retardant, with high efficiency, non-toxic, does not cause secondary pollution of the excellent characteristics, has been more and more widely concerned, and has become a hot spot in the field of flame retardant research.
