Firing aids

Raw materials for fluxes

Magnesium carbonate can also be used as a raw material for flux in the ceramic industry. Adding an appropriate amount of magnesium carbonate in the ceramic billet can produce a liquid phase in the high temperature sintering process and promote the sintering of the ceramic billet. Desulfurizer

In the process of ceramic production, fuel combustion produces a large amount of sulfur dioxide (SO2), which pollutes the environment. Magnesium carbonate can be used as a desulfurizing agent, reacting with SO2 to form magnesium sulfate (MgSO4), thus reducing SO2 emissions and alleviating environmental pollution.

 

Stabilizer

During the production of ceramics, certain components in the body and glaze are prone to chemical reactions, resulting in unstable properties of the body and glaze.
