Application

Magnesium oxide is usually used as desulphurising agent, vanadium inhibitor and lubricant in the preparation of advanced lubricating oils, which can effectively improve the rheology and densification of lubricating film, reduce the ash content, and remove the mercury and lead to a certain extent, which reduces the pollution and impact of lubricating oil on the environment.

Elimination of vanadic acid damage
The addition of magnesium oxide to heavy oil combustion eliminates the damage to the furnace chamber caused by vanadic acid in the heavy oil.

Dispersants
The vanadium inhibitor inhibits vanadium corrosion and also acts as a cleaning and dispersing agent, which effectively reduces sulphur corrosion during fuel combustion. When adding vanadium inhibitor to fuel oil, during combustion, the magnesium oxide in the vanadium inhibitor and the V2O5 produced by the harmful substances in the fuel oil will combine to form vanadium and magnesium compounds with high melting point, which will increase the melting point of the vanadium-containing ash in the gas turbine to prevent the corrosion of the harmful substances and to form a loose ash, which will be taken away by the hot flue gases.
