Application

Magnesium oxide has a wide range of applications in the ceramic process, including as a raw material for ceramic glazes, carcasses, fluxes and colours, and can improve the refractory properties, mechanical properties, thermal stability and appearance quality of ceramic products.

• Improved chemical stability
  Magnesium oxide significantly improves the chemical stability of glass, which means that glass is less likely to react with substances in the surrounding environment when exposed to corrosive substances, thus maintaining its original physical and chemical properties and extending its service life. This stability has a direct impact on the service life and maintenance costs of the glass under various environmental conditions.
   
• Formation of protective film
  In glass-ceramics, Mg2, which has a high content of magnesium oxide, combines with dissociated Si-OHSi-OHSi-OH to form magnesium silicate with low solubility, which forms a dense protective film covering the glass. A dense protective film covers the glass surface.
